Letter from the Co-Chairs of the Board, Adrienne Castellon & Linda Dayler
The Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundation exists to equip women leaders for service in the church and beyond.
Since 2014, the Foundation has been growing, refining, and expanding its vision (see ‘The Way Forward' article for more detail). We thank former chairs Rita Janes and Neysa Finnie for the groundwork laid, their sound judgment, expertise, and sacrificial dedication. Their willingness to put in the time and effort to properly position the foundation for strength is why, as co-chairs, we can now enthusiastically and confidently pick up the torch! Along with all of our highly qualified board members, we have hearts to serve the vision of enabling an influential voice for Catholic women in Canada and for the foundation to become the leading authority in Canadian Catholic women’s Leadership. Together, we commit to strengthening the foundation and further developing robust and engaging leadership programs and activities. Since the first cohort began the program in 2018 we have 41 graduates and this month welcome our fourth cohort of participants.
None of this would be possible however without the support of our faithful and generous donors. We assure you, every donation is valued and used responsibly. While a broad and lasting impact will take time to see, our faithful donors have the foresight to invest in the future of Catholic women’s leadership in Canada. It is not an overstatement to claim that the legacies of our donors will contribute to empowering Canadian Catholic women leadership for generations to come. Every woman empowered to make a difference in her church, workplace, or volunteer capacity is an opportunity for significant positive ripple effects – of which God only knows the true impact.
